About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

London to Beijing (but stopping in transit only in Hong Kong) Beijing to HK to London on CX

So I will be travelling on a CX flight to Beijing, the only problem is that it stops in Hong Kong, where I have to get a Dragonair flight to Beijing. This is not a "stopover" but a ticket to Beijing that happens to stop in HK in transit only (I don't leave the airport). After 70 hours in Beijing I will fly back to HK, then after 2 weeks back to London. Its one ticket multi destinations. London - Beijing (stop in HK on way) - Hong Kong - London. Will the ticket be counted as London - Beijing - Hong Kong and qualify?

I don't think so. Even you just transit in HK without entering, you are not quaflied for 72 hours.
