Does my Master Card or Visa need the new "chip" technology or will the magnetic stripe kind work?

The magnetic stripe kind still works, but it will be replaced by the chip ones sooner or later. If possible, change yours into chip ones in a bank and it is for free.1

Thanks Lisa! I actually have two different credit cards, and neither one is available with the chip technology until the end of this year. I'm relieved to know that they will work for this trip!0
