About:Beijing City Bus

Hello, I am planning a trip to Chengde Mountain Resort in June

Is it better to travel by train or bus from Beijing? If i travel by train do i need to buy ticket in advance? If yes than how many days in advance?
In case of bus do i need to buy ticket in advance or just before trip?
I heard that there are buses from Xizhimen station, please if someone can confirm me that information,
Is there schedule of buses somewhere to find? because i cant find it anywhere

Taking a bus is more convenient, and there are many bus available everyday in Liuliqiao Bus station, and the bus fare is CNY85 around. For the ticket, you can just buy before the trip. I’m not sure about your info on the Xizhimen station. As I mentioned, in Liuliqiao Bus Station, there are a lot of buses available. You can go there to take one. As for the bus schedule: from 05:40 to 18:40, every 20 mins, there will be a departure.

There are 8 trains heading for Chengde from different railway stations. You can check the schedule and departure station on this website. And the ticket can be prebooked about 60 days in advance.
