Did Tang dynastyhave any famous figures or rulers? What made them speacial?

Joe, I think Emperor Taizong (Li Shimin) should be the one. Because Emperor Yangdi didn't rule the country well, the population reduced to 2 million households after Tang Dynasty was built. Thanks to Emperor Taizong, the population increased to 3.6 million households.

On the other hand, Li Shimin helped his father Li Yuan build Tang Empire. He was more capable than his two brothers. That's why his brothers tried to kill him. Unfortunately, they were killed by Li Shimin.

Empress Wu Zetian is also a significant figure of the Tang dynasty as she established female rights in China, she was the only ever female to rule as an empress in China and she basically made the dynasty Tang in to China's golden age.
