Do you authenticate a document that was notarized by a qualified local notarization organization?

国内要求我们把这里公证人公证过的放弃继承权申明书再拿到中领馆认证。中领馆可不可以办认证的？

If you plan to get your document authenticated by Chinese embassy, you need to go through the following process:
1. you should have your doucment notarized by local Notary Public and get the certified copy of your document.
2. you should get your document certified by Secretary of State.
3. then you can go to consulate in your area to get it authenticated.

Please be noted that if your area is under the adminstration of Chinese embassy instead of any othee consulate, then you need to get it authenticated by Autentication Office, Department of State first before you go to the embassy.
