exchange ticket to plastic card,ticket again?

Hi! Could you explain how the tickets for hard sleeper works on board? I read that it will be replaced with a plastic card. Do I keep the plastic card when I get off the rail or will the staff change it back?

This is only for the sleeper types. The staff will change your ticket back according to your plastic card before your destination. The card would not be with you when check out.
