will my android phone work in beijing? what card i shall buy?

Yes, your android phone will work in Beijing. It just needs a proper sim card. You should figure it out which comunication carrier your mobile suits in advance, the Unicom, the Mobile or the Telecom? Then go to the right service office to get a sim card.
