How to get from Guangzhou to Guilin

Hi we are staying in Beijingstreet Guangzhou, 1. Which train do we take to GL?
2. How do we go from GL trainstation to take a boat on the Li river?
3. Is it possible to return the same day to Guangzhou?

1. All the high speed trains start from Guangzhou South. So you shall go to Guangzhou South Station to take high speed train to GL North. It takes about 3 hours to reach.
2. To take the boat, you need to go to Zhujiang Wharf. It is suggested to go by taxi. It would be more convenient for you. The taxi fare would be around CNY120. BTW, Li River Cruise ticket you need to book at least one day before.
3. One need to spend 4 – 5 hours to fully feel the charm and beauty of the river. So one day to go back Guangzhou is impossible. You can go back to GL and spend one night there, and then go back to Guangzhou the next morning.
