Visa itinerary

I am going to China to visit friends, they are talking about maube going to a different city with me when I am there. It's not concrete plans yet do I need to put it on my application or if not, do I do something in China if I want to go somewhere not indicated on my intenerary?

Joe, I don't think you need to add that city in your travel itinerary. After you get your L type, you can go to any cities except Tibet as you wish. If your friend can send you an invitation letter, you need not provide your round-trip air tickets and hotel booking.
