About:China Student Visa

X visa, is there an age limit?

Can someone tell me if there is an age limit on this X type for older people (retirees) wanting to learn Chinese?
Many thanks,

As far as I know, there is no age limit for obtaining the X type. However, some schools have age limits. So if you can find a schood which is willing to admit you, it will be fine to do the application.

Thank you. I know about the fact that some schools have an age limit but I also know of someone who was refused an extension to his X type because of his age. So I was wondering if someone knew whether there actually was now a specific regulation in place regarding a possible age limit for the X type. I guess the easiest would be to ask the Chinese embassy directly. Again, many thanks.
