What effect does repetition have in Chinese music?

Hi, I am from Australia and I am doing an assignment on repetition in music and I am looking at music from all different cultures. I was just wondering if Chinese music incorporates a lot of repetition and does it have a special effect? Does it have a meaning?
Thanks

Repetition can emphasize the theme of the song, and it can attract more attention from people.
