Visit visa for parents

Hi, I have been living in china for last 3 years and my parents have visited me twice without any problems. So they are planning to visit me again in this summer but i have situation here that my residence permit is going to expire in June 2015 so at this time if they would apply visit type (S2 in this case) so do you think there would be any issue as there are 2.5 months left in expiration of my residence permit.

Ali, they can still apply for the S2 type. But the longest stay period they can get is 2.5 months. Or they may just acquire a shorter stay.

Thanks Alan, Any idea if we can renew residence permitearly before 2 months?

Ali, yes, you can renew your resident permit at local entry and exit management bureau. But you should understand that there is a chance of being rejected too.

Alan, for which reason they might reject, before time renewal or what?

Ali, they reserve the right for not telling you the reasons. Rejected here means that they won't accept your application. Instead, they ask you to go back to your country to apply.
