What is the best way to apply for a Visa?

We are travelling around the world And would love to go to Shanghai in Mai/june. We will stay from 21.4 for 7 days in Melbourne.

Kati, you can apply as early as three months before entering PRC. So I personally think you should apply one from Chinese embassy in your country. It takes four working days. Its validity is usually three months.
