Hey Casey! You can apply for the L type from Brazil! Just prepare all the required documents and go to the embassy. The documents required for submission are: your US passport, a photocopy of the passport’s data page, a properly filled-out application form attached with recently-taken personal color photo, the original and photocopy of your Brazil entry permit, and roundtrip tickets and accommodation orders.
