Danilo, the validity of single-entry type permit is usually three months, so I think it's a little bit early to do the application in May. The best time would be mid June.

thank you for that answer..
but im changing my travel plans, i want to visit shanghai on july 19-23 then on the 23 i want to go to Xiamen till 26. from xiamem ill be back to Philippines. i recently went to beijing last march 17-22. but it was a group entry permit. what should i write if they asked me is it my first time to have a Chinese one? i have a problem because if i said yes that i had one before, they will ask a copy of said group type..i dont have the copy of it anymore because the chinese immigration officer got it when we are exiting beijing to philippines. regarding my planned trip to both shanghai and beijing, so i should get a double entry one right? i am also planning to be back for several times so is it possible for me that the embassy will grant me multiple entry even if its my first time?
thank you so much :-)

Danilo, you should write that it’s not your first time to apply. If they ask you to provide the copy of the group type, you can provide copy of your previous entry and exit stamps on passport as well as the tour receipt from the travel agency.

A single entry will suffice for your trip, so you don’t need to apply for double entries.

As it’s not your first visit to China, there is possibility that you can get the multiple entry type, but not assured to get it.

thank you so much.
The immigration officer in china didnt made a stamp on our passport during entry and exit. they mad a stamp on the group type we had which was in a different sheet.
A single entry will suffice my travel itenirary? Because the other guy said i need two entry one.
From manila to shanghai then shanghai to xiamen and then xiamen to manila
Does this count to two? I mean upon entry yo shanghai then u will exit, the entry to xiamen and exit again?
Sorry im bit confused..
Thanks for your help :-)

Danilo, if you can't provide the copies of entry and exit records either, you can contact the travel agency to prove your previous trip and explain the situation to the concular officer.

A single entry is enough for your trip because Shanghai and Xiamen are both parts of mainland. Don't worry.
