how to apply for a mere tourist type from baghdad to prc

Question

I used to contact Embassies in Iraq to apply for visas since 1974. Nowadays there are travel and tourist agents working to obtain entry permits for tourists and visitors. I donot doubt the role of agents to obtain but I think it would be better to meet those who would like to apply. My last visit to India the person outside the Indian Embassy filled the application form according to his behaviour even my address in Baghdad as if he is responsible or my mouth piece. I ask the Embassy of PRC that I need to apply without others help because I know English well and I can fulfill the application form myself. Is it possible to do so or it is a must to be dependant. Many thanks in advance.

Helal, to apply for the PRC entry permit, an invitation letter from Duly Authorized Unit in China is required. I'm afraid you can't get it without the help of agencied, so I think you will have to turn to an agency for the application.
