over staying

if my friend(singaporean) who overstay in china for 3 year.. now she wants to come back.. how can i help her? or what can she do? how much fine or will she be detained?

She should surrender herself to the local police station and pay for the fines. Normally speaking, the fine is RMB 500 yuan per day and altogether RMB 10,000 yuan at most. If she is unable to pay the money, she may be detained for not less than five days but not more than 15 days.
