delhi to vancouver via beijing flight change

I am an indian national flying from delhi to vancouver. there is a four hour layover at Beijing. My delhi to Beijing flight is southen china air and i take an air canada flight to Vancouver from there. I might need to collect my baggage and re- check in. Would i need a transit visa for that?
