About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Hong Kong travel entry permit

Hi there,

I am a Vietnamese national living and working in Japan under working visa. I am planning to visit Hongkong for traveling in May but I wonder if it is possible to apply for Hong Kong entry permit directly at the Chinese embassy in Tokyo.

I couldn't find this information anywhere, and tried to call the embassy but nobody ever picked up.

Please let me know if you know anything.

Angela

Hi Angela! You can submit the application for HK entry permit to the embassy or consulate in Japn or directly send it to the HK Immigration Department by posts. The whole application process normally takes four to six weeks.

The required application documents are as follows:
Application form (ID 1003A)
Recent photograph (affixed on page 1 of the application form ID 1003A)
Photocopy of the your passport
Photocopy of your financial standing proof, e.g. bank statements, savings accounts passbooks, tax receipts, etc. and proof of employment, e.g. company leave letter, salary slips, etc.
Photocopy of proof of transportation arrangement, e.g. flight itinerary
Photocopy of proof of the proposed leisure visit to Hong Kong, e.g. receipt of joining a package tour to Hong Kong, itinerary, etc.
