Canadian citizen - Max 30 day visa?

Noticed there is a max 30 day L type listed on websites for Canadian tourists visiting China. Does this 30 day max include time spent in Tibet? For example, I hope to travel China for 30 days, then take a 15-day tour in Tibet.

Ber, the 30 day does include the time spent in Tibet, so if you want to travel for 45 day in total, you should try to apply for a longer stay duration. If the officer just gives you 30days somehow, you can try to extend the stay duration after you enter China. BTW, you should apply for a Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB) Permit thorugh travel agencies before your trip to there.

Thank you for your response Bill, I will do just that. Any idea if receiving a (for example) 60 day permit is unlikely?

Ber, it is possible that you can apply for the 60 day entry permit, but whether the embassy will approve your application remains unknown.
