I am an American citizen working in Afghanistan and would like to visit China on my R&R for 3 days, do I need an entry permit?

Donald, do you say you will depart from Afghanistan, visit China, and then back to Afghan? If yes, you need to apply for an L type entry permit in advance. By the way, what is your R&R?
