1 year visa

Question

I want to travel around China for a while, is it possible to get one year entry permit without leaving the country. I am from Vietnam. Thanks

I personally think it's not very likely to get it if you don't have Chinese relatives who are living in China. The only way for you to stay there for one year without leaving the country would be get a job in China or get admitted by a school there, so that you can apply for a Z type or X type. After you enter, the Z type or X type are required to be converted into a temporary residence permit, which allows you to stay for one year or more.
