About:Zhangjiajie Transportation

What is the best train connections between Zhangjiajie to Xiamen?

I have to get out of ZJJ on April 16 to Xiamen. Since there are no direct trains between 2 stations, what's the fastest, easiest, cheapest connections available? I have to be in Xiamen on the 17th. I searched for flights but it's so expensive. Are there buses that goes direct?

Also, is it possible to see just the ZJJ National Forest Park for 1 day tour? I mean, I don't intend to see all the sights in Wulingyuan area.

The distance is almost 1200 kilometers (746 miles), and there is no direct bus also.
Considering time and money together, the best way for you is: take train from ZJJ to Changsha, the fastest one takes about 5 hours. Ticket price for soft sleeper is CNY265.5, for hard sleeper is CNY170.5. And then transfer to bullet train from Changsha South to reach Xiamen. Just one thing to remind that there is only one bullet train runs from Changsha to Xiamen. It starts at 14:14 and arrives at 20:52. The ticket price for first class seat is CNY411, for second class seat is CNY307.5.

It's ok for you to spend only one day in there. But you still need to buy the full ticket for the spot.
