About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Will I need to get a multiple Visa? Do I have to apply through a Chinese Embassy in Korea?

Hello,
I have a United States passport but am flying from S. Korea to Nepal. I have a 24 layover in Shianghai on the way there and back. I would like to explore the city during my layover.

Nick, you needn't apply for any type because you can make use of 72 hours free transit as long as you have confirmed air tickets in hands.
