I am planing to go to urumuqi & surrounding last week of april for 9 days. How is the weather like?

Well, according to the previous weather data, the temperature during that period of time is 36 F to 72 F. It's cool and not so cold. You can bring your jeans, T-shirts and light jackets. Besides, you can bring an overcoat in order to adapt large temperature difference. Also, it may be windy and bring a scarf to protect your hair and neck from sands.

Day 2: Red Hill, Xinjiang Regional Museum
Day 3: Silk Road
Day 4: Kanas Nature Reserve
Day 5: Tartar Mosque and Qinghai Mosque
Day 6: Southern Pastures (West White Poplar Gully)
Day 7: Tian Shan Mountains
Day 8 & Day 9: You can tast local and special food in these days. By the way, you can buy some meaningful souvenirs.

Weather is very pleasant at that time ,Sothern Xinjiang (Turpan and Kashgar area)could be warmer and will get green ,it s just beggingn of Summer .light Jacket , hat, sunglass / sun cream will needed .

in 9 days you can cover Heavenly lake , Turpan and Kashgar area and some parts of Karakurum highway till to Tashkurgan , Kashgar area is higly recommended.
