About:Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen Ferry

Hello. :) Question on using Shekou Port Ferry to HKIA

My flight leaves from HK Intl. at 11:30 on a Thursday morning and I'm staying at a hotel in Shenzhen. How easy is the Ferry? Could I just take a taxi to Shekou Port, get on the 7:45 AM Ferry and be at HK Intl. in 30 minutes? My carrier is United Airlines so I may have to go to the Check In counter to get my ticket and check my bags in. Will I have to get transport from the Sky Pier to the Check In counter? Will I have enough time to do all this? Sorry for all the questions. :) but it seems like the Ferry is the way to go its just that I have never used it.

Thanks in advance and Cheers!

Yes, you can take a taxi to the port and take the 07:45 ferry to reach the airport. The journey would take about 30 minutes. Just remind you two things. First, it is suggested to buy the ticket at least one day in advance to assure your journey. Second, you have to reach the port an hour before the ferry start. There in the ferry port you can check whether the airline check-in service is available, and whether there is baggage tag through service. When you reach the Sky Pier, you can take the shuttle bus to go to the airport. Anyway, don’t worry, you have more than 3 hours after arrive in Sky Pier. Your time is totally enough for the transit journey.
