my ex boss said they cancelled my visa

I leave my company 2 months ago and my old employer said it was cancelled but my passport don't have a cancelled tag? Is it possible that they cancel it without my passport?

Ryan, your former exployer can cancel your work permit. However, if your residence permit is valid, you can still stay in China. But you have to leave before the residence permit expires.

Hi Ryan! I have the same situation. I would like to know what happened to your resident permit? Was it cancelled without them having your passport?

This is a very serious matter. You should know the law, rules, and procedures. You must go immediately to the police and clarify your situation. Your employer can not cancel yours directly, HOWEVER if your contract is terminated and they notify the authorities then yours is CANCELLED. YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS. They do NOT need your passport to cancel - you are being very naive.

if your contract is terminated and the employer notifies the authorities then your Z is CANCELLED. YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS. They do NOT need your passport to cancel - you are being very naive. This is an extremely serious situation and you NEED to take IMMEDIATE action by going to the Public Safety Bureau and clarifying your situation.
