uae visa renewal for traveling to hong kong

Question

I am Indian national with UAE resident permit. I am planing to  travel to Hong Kong for  attending an exhibition from 17th to 21st April. My UAE permit will expire on 29th April 2015. Do I need to renew it before I travel. Please advise

Ashok, if you just want to enter Hong Kong, you don't need to renew the UAE resident permit because you can enjoy a 14-day free stay as an Indian passport holder. However, if you want to go back to the IAE after visiting HK, you should contact the UAE Immigration and consult whethe you can go back then.
