About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruise Ship entrance - flight exit - do i need an entry permit?

I am arriving by cruise ship at the Port of Shanghai... how long can i stay in that city before my outgoing flight to Canada without a visa?

William, as you are eligible for the 24 hour free transit, you can stay in Shanghai for up to 24 hours (counting from the midnight after your arrival).
