Betrothal in China? Uhoh!

I just saw a question regarding betrothal.. I am to marry a Chinese woman in a matter of weeks! She is 55, divorced, and has a 30 year old son. Her father passed several years ago, her mother is still doing very well. She has 2 brothers and 1 sister. Is there still a betrothal involved? If so, what is a suitable amount?

Well, it depends on you two. If both of you think it is necessary, you can make the betrothal. For the suitable amount, different places have different custom. Just ask your fiancee.
