Regarding single entry type permit

Is there a time limit with single entry type? For example if I have a single entry type for 30 days but I have entered China and left China within 24 hrs, does this mean that my Chinese visa is void and I cannot enter China again without another entry permit?

Ray, if you can make use of the 24-hour or 72-hour free transit policy for your travel this time, your single entry type permit will remain unused and you can use it for the next time travel.
