Leslie, your route is ok for 72 hours free transit in Guangzhou. But I am a bit confused on "outbound journey to Bangkok". Can you clarify it?

I'm flying London - Guangzhou - Bangkok (outbound) for 8 days in Bangkok. Then Bangkok - Guangzhou (2 days) - London (inbound or homeward bound.) My question was to confirm that I can get a 72 hour free transit when flying home to London from Bangkok via Guangzhou.

Does it matter which way you are travelling, that is away from home to a 3rd country or back home?
