About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

If I am entitled to the 72 hours visa free transit, do I need to do anything prior to travel?

I arrive in Beijing from japan at 11.20am on 15/4. I then fly to London on 18/4 at 11.15am. From what I have read I believe i am covered by the 72 hour free transit but have been unable to obtain confirmation of this.

Yes, you are eligible for the 72 hrs free transit, nothing is needed to be done prior your travel. You can get it directly at the airport.

David, thank you so much for your reply, I have been disgusted with the lack of official information regarding this. British Airways have been disgraceful in their lack of information, your help is much appreciated
