About:Shanghai Travel

We will have a 14 layover in Shanghai in November.

Our flight lands 10:30pm at night and we plan to get a hotel close to the PVG airport. We would like to sightsee in the morning before we fly out at 1pm. Is there enough time to go to people square/ the bund or pearl tower in the morning and get back to airport in enough time? If so what option of transportation should we take? We would like to take the meglev train, but not sure which is the best after that? Also how much time should we give at the airport before our flight out?

The time will be tight. U should arrive at the airport at least around 1.5 hours in advancem so it is suggested to have a trip very early in the morning.

The first train (Maglev) leaves the airport at 07:20 and it takes around 8min to Longyang Road Station. After arriving, subway line 2 can take you to People's Square directly. The Nanjing Road and the Bund are both within walking distance. You may only have the time to see the Pearl Tower outside. Just take a sightseeing tunel from the Bund (Chengyi Square) to reach the entrance in 3-5min. Afterwards, you can take a taxi to the airport to catch your flight.
