About:China Southern Airlines

Visa required for 16 hour stop over in GUANGZHOU ?

Our stop over in Guangzhou is for 16 hours, with the flight from Brisbane through to London. Do we need a visa to visit the city from the airport if we are staying at a hotel in the airport overnight?
