cell phone service?

Question

I will be travelling from the US to mainland China in June and July.  I have verizon service for my cell phone.  Any suggestions on cell phone usage/plans so I can communicate with my fellow travelers who are on a slightly itinerary and with my friends back home?

Hey, in mainland China, you need to buy a SIM card for your cell phone to ensure its functions could work. it is suggested to make it clear what kind of SIM card is suitable for your phone in advance. Then you can just go to the correspondent service office to deal with it. The three biggest communcation carriers in Chin are China Mobile, Unicom and Telecom.
