About:Chinese Consulate in Brisbane

Australian Citizens Currently in Hong Kong and Visiting Sanya next week

Hello,
I am reading a lot of conflicting information both on here and also on other internet pages. I am travelling with my partner from Australia. We are currently in HK and flying to Sanya and we land at Sanya Fenghuang International airport. I have organised all of the hotels myself for my stay.

Ok so the question is. Do I need to arrange for a visa prior to landing in sanya or can I apply for a landing VOA? I have asked my hotel and two staff members told me different requirements as did my airline. Any ideas anyone?

Phill, there is inadequate information about VOA for Hainan though the VOA indeed exists. I read a question raised by a guy posted on the website of Haihan govenment website. The answer was given by local government. It says VOA is ok. However, the applicants are still sugguested o apply one in advane before they go.

Therefore, I personally suggest that you arrange one in advance before you go there.
