About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Is it possible to use 72 hrs free transit policy for Indian citizen with valid US visa?

I am heading to India from Korea. My flight reaches Shanghai in morning 9 am and flight to India is at night. I am a student in US and have valid entry permit for the same. I would like to spend a few hours in Shanghai rather than spend the whole 10-12 hours inside the airport.

Rohit, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit policy. If you want to spend a few hours on travelling in Shanghai, you should apply for a temoporary stay permit at the airport.
