About:Guangzhou Metro

Hi. is there any website in English with information for metro?

I cant find one.
I will get to CAN airport after midnight. How much should a taxi be to Siquiao station. I plan to stay a few blocks from there.
Also I am traveling on a budget. Is it true that I can find hotel rooms cheaper there? Right now I found a nice looking 3 star hotel close to Siquiao station for about $22 usd. Im visiting for the show next month and have noticed hotel prices go up.
To me that price I found is great. The bad side is the one hour travel time to get to the show.

I was thinking about booking a place for a couple of nights and look for something else, not sure about that. How can I tell if I walk into a hotel there and they try to offer me a high price fir a room? Do they negotiate hotel rates?

I haven't heard about Siquiao, but Shiqiao in Panyu District? Is this the place you are going to stay? If yes, it takes about CNY 200 from the airport to get here by taxi.

It's OK to book a place for a couple of nights and move to another one which is more convenient when you are familiar with the city. If it's not a chain or star-rated hotel, you can negotiate the price. But the rate is generally higher during the Canton fair than normal days.

Hi Dave. Yes it is the station you mentioned. Is the metro still a stage system or do you know if the have implemented a one day or one week pass?
Based on your knowledge, do you think is ok staying by

Hi, they have One Day Pass and Three Day Pass. The former costs CNY20 for unlimited ride on metro within 24h and the latter costs CNY50 for unlimited ride on metro within 72h. They have no One Week Pass.
