About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Moving to Shanghai from the US with a domestic partner?

Is it possible to relocate to Shanghai for one year with my domestic partner (opposite sex)? I would be granted a Z visa but do not know what options are available to her to join me on the trip? Is this possible or any suggestions?

Nick, what is your relationship with her? If you two are husband and wife, you can assit her to apply for S1 type. It requires your invitation letter and marriage certificate apart from her passport, application form and passport photo. If she can get it, she needs to change it to a temporary resident permit. The duration of stay can be as long as one year.
