About:Embassy of Sri Lanka in China

I am Sri Lankan. I want to get a chinese visa because I have to transit more than 24 hour

I am studying in Japan.Today I hope to come back Sri Lanka via China Eastern and I have already booked my returning air ticket to Japan via the airline. But when I go to Japan by using this air line I have to transit more than 24 hours. So it is necessary to obtain a chinese one. So can I apply in Sri Lankan embassy?

I hope your response as soon as possible.

Hey, you apply for a transit G type at the Chinese embassy in Sri Lanka. Please submit the following materials to the embassy: 1. passport; 2. a photocopy of the passport; 3. a filled application form; 4. a recently-taken color bare-headed photo; 5. the destination entry permit copy; 6. an onward air ticket with confirmed date and seat to the destination country; 7. financial support documents.

And also is it necessary to show financial support documents , because I want to apply transit type. My destination is Japan and I am a student yet?

Moreover I want to know about that what is the size of photo?
