About:China Area & Zip Code

How are apartments numbered in Donghe District, Baotou

I met a lady in Tianjin while i was on holidays. She lives in Inner Mongolia, I would like to write to her. the last details were....Southern District three building three unit six floor. My question is: how can unit 3 be on the sixth floor. Did i write the address wrong?

Stef, you misunderstood the address. Chinese people prefer to write the address in this way: province, city, district, detailed area (building, unit and then floor). If the address written in this way (six floor, three unit, three building, southern district....), you should have no problem in understanding it.

Stef, you didn't understand what I said. Her apartment is located on the six floor of unit 3.

So unit 3, is a building not the apartment number. Is this correct? Sorry for the confusion

Yes, you are right. Usually, a community is made of several buildings. Each building may contain several units. Each unit contains many flats.
