For your 3 days' trip, I'd suggest you spend at the Bund & Huangpu River Cruise, Nanjing Road, Pearl Oriental TV Tower, Lujiazui Area, Yuyuan Garden, Xintiandi and Zhujiajiao Water Town. But I'm afraid that there is no area gathering many Indian dining in the city. You can stay in a hotel near Xintiandi or Nanjing Road, near which one or two Indian restaurants can be reached by walking.
