Am I eligible for the 24 Hour or 72 Hour Free Visa Transit?

Hello. I will be flying from the USA to the Philippines via Air China Airlines. The flight itinerary says we will have a 15 hour layover in Beijing before our next flight departs for the Philippines. I would like to tour Beijing during that layover duration. Thank you.

Rachel, are you a Filipino or American? If you are an American, you enjoy 72 hours free transit in Beijing. If you are a Filipino, you enjoy 24 hours free transit in Beijing.

I am a US Citizen. I apologize I did not mention that earlier. I have noted that my flight itinerary and nationality qualify for China's 72 Hour Free Transit permit to tour Beijing during my long layover.

How do I retrieve the 72 Hour Free Transit permit? Thank you.

After you get off from the plane, you should go to the 72 hour free transit service counter to apply for using the service.
