May I ask why you use the year of sheep? In other websites, they all use "goat" for this new year

all others, they say 2015 is a year of goat.

Dear Sara,

Chinese zodiac was actually invented by Han people. Yang is just one of the 12 animals. Chinese character Yang refers to all of the forgoing ruminants. However, there is not only one equivalent for Yang in English. There are three, sheep, goat and ram. So it’s ok for you to call 2015, the year of goat, sheep or even ram. It’s no difference for you use any of these three words when you refer to 2015. By the way, goat and sheep are more popular than ram. If you search on the internet, you will find that year of goat and year of sheep are used widely.

Best Regards
