About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Transfer a Z visa from a company to a self owned company, is that possible?

Hi everyone, and that for this incredible work. I am currently working for a chinese company and my current one expires on July. I am thinking about starting my own business but I don't know how to stay in the country under legal circumstances, also my family depends on this one(husband and daughter). Can a Z type be transferred from a company to a self registered company?
Thanks for your support!!

Rosanna, it is possible to do so. After you quit the previous job, the former employer shall give you a release letter and cancel your previous work permit. Then you should apply for a new work permit by your self-owned company at the Labour bureau and apply for a new residence card with the new work permit at the local Exit and Entry Adminstration. You family's residence cards remain valid so it's no need to worry about that.

Yes if your company is worth enough and you get a license to hire foreigners than no problem.

Hi Jackson thanks for your answer. What do you mean by worth enough? I plan to start a trade business and make the company registration as most simple as possible. You think that won't work? Is is required to high a high capital disbursement at the beginning or any very expensive legal procedure? Actually, it would be better for my purposes to register it in Hong Kong, but I am considering China due to the visa problem. If anyone could recommend me a good english speaking advisor in these subject in Shenzhen, I would really appreciate.
