About:China Transit Visa

My husband holds a Filipino passport living in the US, does he need to apply for a Visa?

Hello, My husband will be traveling to the Philippines from the US with a layover in Beijing.

How long will be his layover in Beijing? If less than 24 hours, he needn't apply for any type. If longer than 24 hours, he needs to apply for a transit type from Chinese embassy/consulate in advance.
