About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Am I eligible for transit visa since I would be coming from Taiwan to Beijing then back to Taiwan?

I'm an American citizen living in Taiwan and want to travel to Beijing for two days to meet a family member passing through there. Trying to avoid having to buy a VERY expensive L type. Thanks!

Sorry, your route isn't qualified for 72 hours free transit. You'd better apply for a L type in advance. It requires your passport, application form, a recent six months passport photo, round-trip air tickets and hotel booking in Beijing.
