Octopus Tourist Card (not from Hong Kong Airport)

I wonder if i can still use the tourist octopus card to have free MTR rides in the city, and then 1 trip to the airport.

Question is, can i still do that if i don't buy the ticket from the airport, as i will be arriving in HK from Macau using ferry?

Thanks!

Are you referring to Airport Express Travel Pass? Whichever you mean, as it is valid, it can be used on MTR in the city and one or two trips on Airport Express train. This is not stricted by the place where you get the card.

HI Gina,

Firstly, thanks for your help.

Yes, i do mean the Airport express travel pass, that gets 3 days of unlimited rides of MTR/Bus in the city.

I am just confused, because there's no statement that says you must use it starting from the Airport, although there are no statements otherwise neither.

Just to confirm, 220HKD, will be for the one that has 1 trip to the airport (or 1 trip from the airport) and the 300 HKD will be for 1 trip from the airport and to the airport? It also doesn't matter where the trip is started, any MTR would be fine? Am i correct?

Thanks again!
