SIGHTSEEING TRIP ON THE MAGLEV TRAIN, SHANGHAI

Hi - we are in transit at Pudong IA for about 4+ hours. Is it possible/permissible to take a return trip on the Train into Longyang Road Station and back during the transit period? Thanks...Wayne

Yes, it is possible. The single trip of the train only takes around 8min, so your time would be enough.

Thanks for your advice. Maybe you could answer another question for me. Being in transit at Pudong IA AND wanting to move from airside to landside, albeit for only a couple of hours to undertake the return MAGLEV journey, will we have to take all our baggage with us? Or, will the connecting airline simply accept our baggage [NZ to SU] but still permit us to leave the airport? Thanks...Wayne

Hi, if you use two different airlines, you have to collect and reclaim your luggage onto the next flight. If for the same airlines, you can have the luggage check-through service in the first departing place and then you don't need to handle your luggage at PVG.
BTW, only half an hour is enough for a round trip on SMT experience.
